How Women 40+ Are Flattening The Apron Belly From The Couch (Without Lipo, CoolSculpting Or A Tummy Tuck)

How Women 40+ Are Flattening The Apron Belly From The Couch (Without Lipo, CoolSculpting Or A Tummy Tuck)

The at-home method women over 40 are using when diet and exercise stopped touching the lower belly.

I am not going to tell you red light works. You already know that, or you would not be looking at belts.

I spent $302 finding out that knowing it works tells you nothing about which one to buy. Three belts. The first was $34 and got warm. The second lost its velcro by week three. The third was $189, because I was certain the price meant something, and its control unit died in the second month.

So I had one built, and in doing it I learned what to look at. Here are the eight things I check now. Run them against whatever you are about to buy, including ours.

1
Is it still working at week eight?

This is the one that decides it, and almost nobody checks it. Collagen remodelling takes six to eight weeks. That is not marketing, that is how the tissue rebuilds.

The belts that come back in the box mostly die at week three or four. The velcro goes, or the control unit quits. They were not weak. They were arithmetically incapable of working, because they stopped before the clock they were fighting had run out.

Ask how long the unit is warranted for. If the answer is thirty days, the company has told you when it expects the belt to fail.

Inside the belt, every diode visible
2
Is it red-dominant, or infrared-dominant?

Every belt on the market prints 660nm and 850nm on the box. The wavelengths are not the differentiator any more. The ratio is.

Infrared travels deeper, into muscle and joint. That is the recovery lane, and if your back hurts it is the correct build. Red works at the layer where collagen is made.

Most belts are built infrared-dominant. Ours runs 315 LED chips at 210 red to 105 infrared, two reds for every infrared, because the problem you are trying to fix is skin and not muscle.

3
Does the number on the box match what is inside?

Chip counts are the easiest place to inflate. A belt can print a big number by counting the diodes inside each chip rather than the chips themselves.

We run 315 LED chips. Count the housings and you will find 105 of them, three chips to a housing. We would rather you knew that from us than found it out with the belt open on your kitchen table.

Does it reach the layer, or sit on top of it?

Creams stop at the surface. That is not a criticism of creams, it is what a topical is built to do.

The belly that will not flatten is not a surface problem. It is the layer underneath, the one that stretched and did not draw back in. Light at the right wavelength works below the surface. A cream physically cannot get there.

Anything that promises to firm from the outside is fighting the wrong layer.

5
Will it actually go around you?

The most common complaint in cheap-belt reviews is not the light. It is that the belt did not fit.

Most run short, which means the panel lands off to one side and the part you bought it for never sits under the light.

Ours is 50.8 inches. It wraps high on the ribs or low on the hips, and it closes on every body we have sold it to.

How long is the return window, really?

Thirty days is the industry standard, and it is the standard for a reason. At thirty days there is nothing to see yet, on anybody, with any device. The window closes before the evidence arrives.

Sixty days is eight weeks and four days. It is deliberately longer than the thing it is measuring, so you can judge it on a result instead of on hope.

Is there anything left after the window closes?

A guarantee covers your money. A warranty covers the device. They are not the same promise and companies rely on you conflating them.

A 1-year warranty is included, not sold separately. If the control unit dies in month seven, that is our problem.

8
Can you honestly keep it up?

This is the check people skip, and it is the one that actually decides whether anything happens.

If it takes a gel, a rub-in, and a twenty-step routine, you will do it for nine days. Most women who tell us nothing worked did not buy a bad device. They bought one that asked too much of a Tuesday night.

Twenty minutes, on bare skin, on the sofa. You strap it on and you go back to what you were watching. That is the whole routine, and it is the reason it is still happening at week eight.

Twenty minutes on the sofa

What this will not do, which I would rather you heard from me

It will not move the scale. It is not a weight-loss device. If that is what you are shopping for, this is the wrong purchase and I would rather you knew now than at week six.

It does nothing through clothing. The light has to reach skin. Anything between the light and you is wasted, and it is the most common reason we hear that it did not work.

And nothing visible happens before six to eight weeks, on anybody. Not on you, not on me. If you want a result in two weeks there is no device at any price that will give you one, and anyone selling you that is lying.

Week eight. Twenty minutes a night on bare skin.

Sixty days. Then decide.

Wear it twenty minutes a night on bare skin. If your waistband does not fit differently, send it back and keep nothing but the time.
